Executive Summary

Asset and facilities management is a complex and systematic business disciplines that encompassing the effective management of assets, facilities & infrastructure, space usability, human resources and organization. It is associated with the management and administration activities for office block buildings, arenas, commercial buildings, industries, educational buildings, sports complexes, hospitals, hostels etc. The process of planning and implementation of activities related to the formation of management strategies in ensuring the stability and excellence of the performance of building facilities. The building facilities management team shall consist of staff who are trained and knowledgeable in performing management work professionally in accordance with the methods and procedures that have been established and recognized by the authorities related to the needs of building facilities management.

Objective

The course objectives are as follows:

a. To discuss and explain about the concept of asset and facilities management for an organisation.

b. To understand the requirements of asset life cycle and facility management function

c. To improve facility management planning and method of implementations.
