CIDB ASSESSMENT THROUGH METHOD 1A
When roadwork or construction activities take place on or near road surfaces, drivers inevitably encounter unpredictable changes in traffic flow. These changes can pose risks to road users, workers, and pedestrians if proper safety measures and work procedures are not implemented effectively.
Road users may struggle to distinguish between construction site conditions and active work zones, making it essential to prioritize traffic control measures for everyone’s safety.
Competent managers play a critical role in ensuring the success of traffic management efforts. Recognizing this need, CIDB Malaysia has developed the Construction Industry Competency Standard (CICS) for Construction Traffic Management Officers, classified at Level 4 of the National Occupational Structure. Individuals who meet the required knowledge and skill standards are awarded the Construction Skills Competency Certificate as Accredited Construction Traffic Management Officers.
